Jennifer Holt CRPO 002931
Jennifer is an established Registered Psychotherapist with over two decades of experience in professional practice. Although her specialty is in grief and addictions, over the past 26 years, Jennifer has supported individuals (adults and youth, male, female, transgender, and non-binary) who may be involved with the legal system. These clients may have engaged in sexual behaviors that have led to legal issues or shown aggressive/violent behavior toward their intimate partner. Jennifer’s clients often face stressors and trauma, such as past or present sexual abuse, mental health challenges like depression or anxiety, relationship issues, or difficulties with anger management. Over the years, Jennifer has helped many individuals take responsibility for behaviors that have harmed themselves and others, supporting them on the journey to lead a “good life”—one free from abuse. Jennifer also has experience working with Indigenous populations and issues relevant to Indigenous persons. To best assist clients, Jennifer draws on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), person-centered therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Techniques. Jennifer is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). Jennifer is also a Clinical Member in good standing with the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse (ATSA).
